To honor the recent passing of global icon Muhammad Ali, DLP created an epic opening to the FOX Sports broadcast of Super Bowl LI in 2017 between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. Through a mix of archival footage and stylized reenactments, we paid tribute to the marches that The Greatest made throughout his career. Both to ones he walked to fight within a ring, as well as those battled in the court of law. We parallelled these walk toward greatness to the roads traveled by the Super Bowl dynasties of the past, and the very teams that would be kicking off mere minutes later. This set the stage for a game that will never be forgotten, just like Muhammad Ali.
